3 Stars Could be better
I have had this unit for 4 months now and overall I am satisfied with it’s performance, however there are a few problems that keep me from giving the unit more stars. The on off plate is becoming unresponsive, not enough volume to overcome road noise, the volume resets to the lowest level when the unit is turned off so it needs to be reset every time, long recharge times when charging from the lighter socket. indicator lights almost impossible to see in the daylight.

2 Stars Volume won’t stay up
This is a nice slick looking device and the button design is nice. But as many others stated the volume issue is what killed it.

The pairing is a snap. I brought this from a store and set it up when I get back in my car in less than a minute. As soon as I got it paired up a call came in. The initial volume was too low so I press the + button to increase the speaker volume and it works great. I can hear the caller clearly and the other party has no problem hearing me. However when I start driving down the highway another call came in and the volume level went back to the initial level, so I had to press the + button to increase it before I can hear the caller clearly. At this point I was thinking it might be an operator error. So I call up a friend and sure enough the volume went back to the low level again!

I got home and take a look at the manual on the CD to see if there is some trick to set the volume permanently but there is none!

It is a slick piece of hardware but it is also a road hazard. Everytime when a call comes in you’ll have to adjust the volume! Which is a big distraction!

I already ordered the Blueant Supertooth Light from Amazon. Once the order came in I’m returning this.

2 Stars It’s ok for the price
It works, and it’s cheap. That’s the good news… however the bad news is that the volume is pretty low when maxed (unless you sit right under your visor you’ll be leaning forward to hear), there is no AC adapter, so charging can be a hassle unless you buy an additional AC to Cigarette Lighter adapter for charging.

My biggest disappointment is that the adhesive that holds the face plate on does not stand up to California summers well. I finally had to glue mine in place to get it to stay put (otherwise the lights are distractingly bright, so you have to turn them off, luckily this feature is available).

2 Stars Needs Improvement
I’m disappointed with my unit for two primary reasons: (1) The indicator lights are not visible during the daytime. I can’t tell whether the unit is on or off … (2) Voice dialing; it doesn’t understand me and I don’t understand it. I’m going to have to look for something else.

1 Star Junk…
Lasted a few months after which time it could no longer be paired with any bluetooth phone. Will never buy anything Jabra again :/

Important Note: Sound Effects
When using an auxiliary device in the car, you might hear a slight buzzing sound, engine noise, or high-pitched whine. That is because your car model has a grounding issue between the audio system and the power socket, which causes a whining or buzzing sound when you drive. This sound is not caused by your Kensington product; however, Kensington has an easy solution. Simply purchase an automotive ground loop isolator for your car that is compatible with a 3.5-mm jack. This simple tool will enable you to use your music in a safe, hands-free environment.

What’s in the Box
Kensington LiquidAUX Deluxe Auxiliary Car Kit, remote control, and 4-foot audio extension cable.

1 Star Save your money
I purchased the liquidAUX and used it for about a week. I found that the connection created static and slightly distorted the volume. Everything sounds better with just an Aux cable. - Don’t get the LiquidAUX

4 Stars Almost perfect iPhone dock
I have been using this product for a month now, and it’s almost perfect. I’ve only noticed two issues. The biggest issue with the dock itself is that on any turn I take quickly, the weight of the iPhone causes the dock to rotate and therefore fall over. The other issue is that when docking the iPhone, the remote frequently won’t work for several minutes. Other than that, it’s been a great dock.

3 Stars Could be better.
I would have gave this product a better rating but within my first week of getting it the size adjustment kind if broke. Then the rubber ring that made it stay up came off and I lost it so now my iPhone just hangs limp.

3 Stars A so-so product
Pros:

* Works pretty well in my Toyota Tundra after replacing the audio cable that comes with the product.

* Remote works 80% of the time

Cons:

* Had to replace crummy audio cable because the right channel would go out with the slightest bump of the car

* Remote does not work 20% of the time (even after replacing battery)

* “flexible” neck not very flexible. I can’t imagine this working well in many cars other than mine.

5 Stars Just What I Was Looking For!
I use this cradle with my iphone in my 2008 VW Beetle. It is exactly what I was looking for. It plugs into the aux input with cable provided, the flexible mount allowed me to position it perfectly. Sounds great. The remote worked well, allowing me to effortlessly switch songs. When the phone rings the music cuts off and I can easily answer with my headset.
